Barebones is a totally awesome puppet group from my home town that I had the pleasure of working with for a couple of years in various roles and capacities (performer/puppeteer and puppet maker/secretary/volunteer coordinator). This footage is from the 2018 show - one of the first that I participated in. It was just after my brother had passed away and this place gave me a space to channel grief into a creative platform and be around people and be fed and be nourished by song and to acknowledge the dead. It was exactly what I needed at the time and they became a new kind of family for me when I was feeling like I had none.
